Updated 22 October 2026. Site operator: Moshe Harush. This page explains what information Devex stores and how to contact us about it.
Accounts and sign-in
Registration stores a username, display name, email address, and a password hashed by WordPress. It also records when you accepted the guidelines and privacy notice and the links to those documents. Your email address is used for account administration and is not shown on your public profile. Choose a display name you are comfortable making public.
Sign-in uses WordPress authentication cookies. Registration also uses an essential form-protection cookie that ties a submission to the browser that opened the form. Automatic outgoing email is currently disabled; contact the support address below for help accessing your account. Registering does not subscribe you to a marketing mailing list.
Community content and comments
A submitted discussion includes a title, body, topic, and author account. It waits for administrator review; once approved, its content and your display name become public. Do not include private information. WordPress may also store an email address and IP address with comments for administration and moderation. Site administrators can access content waiting for approval.
Operations and security
The community plugin uses short-lived hashed keys derived from an IP address or account to limit repeated attempts. That mechanism does not store raw IP addresses. The hosting server may retain access and error logs, including IP addresses, timestamps, and requests. Site administrators and the infrastructure provider may access information as part of operating the site.
External services
The site includes no external analytics or advertising tools. Interactive lessons run in your browser and do not send choices to a server or AI model. Messages to our support address are forwarded through Forward Email to the site operator’s Gmail inbox. External profile images are disabled. Links to other websites are subject to those websites’ own policies.
Retention and requests
Accounts and content are retained while needed to operate the community; accounts are not automatically deleted for inactivity. Request access, correction, or account deletion at support@devex.co.il. Requests are reviewed manually with identity verification. Account removal and public content are considered separately to balance discussion continuity and privacy. A daily backup is stored on the server, with up to seven snapshots subject to a storage limit; deleted information may remain in those snapshots until they are replaced. Expired rate-limit keys are cleared hourly. Infrastructure logs and support correspondence do not currently have one uniform retention period; they are reviewed according to operational and support needs.
